Lake Bohinj, Slovenia
For this Yoga Retreat 2022 we are based in the Bohinj valley in the heart of Triglav National Park. Designed as a beginner’s yoga retreat for every age, the sequences also cater to more advanced students searching for core strength, flexibility and balance.
For the yoga retreat we start our days by taking care of our body and mind, connecting with the mornings’ fresh energy from the lake and getting a touch of luxury pampering by the Chef. From there we will explore different areas with a licensed guide and get insight in the beauties of the Julian Alps.
Triglav in Slovenian means 3 heads: the 3 peaks of Slovenia’s highest mountain (set on the national flag) are visible from Triglav Apartments, our venue. The views are amazing and there’s so much to explore nearby.
Should your trip/travel need to be cancelled for reasons related to Covid19, might it occur in Slovenia or in the country where you live, you will be refunded in full.
Status May 2022: no restrictions due to Covid-19 apply when entering Slovenia. This means that the RVT (recovered/vaccinated/tested) condition no longer has to be met at the border and travellers will no longer be ordered to quarantine at home.
We start the day on the lakes’ shore, still pristine in the early hours, being in the present moment, engaging together in an energizing Pranayama (breathing exercise) and dynamic Hatha yoga class led by Andy.
A restoring evening yoga class is held outdoors or in a wooden room, depending on the conditions, with a wonderful view of sunset over the lake, guided by Miliza or meditation and mantra guided by Emilie.
Host & Yoga Instructor
Miliza is Slovenian native, living in Switzerland and Thailand, and has completed her Integral Yoga Teacher Training on Madeira island, Portugal. She’s deepening her program Yoga for your Back with Svastha Yoga Therapy, focus on the lower and upper back, and guides her students through gentle but powerful sequences to strengthen their core muscles and widen their range of motion. She guides the evening sessions to cool down and restore.
Yoga Instructor
Andy is born in Burma, lived most of his life in Australia before moving to Slovenia’s Alps. He is a certified Classic Hatha Yoga teacher and practices Classic as well as a brand called Isha Hatha Yoga.
For the introduction on the first day he invites us to his genuine Slovene house which he renovated together with his wife. In the mornings he will go through the main poses over the week, rejuvenating and making you ready for the day.
Mountain Guide
Grega is licensed guide and owner of Hike & Bike living his entire life in the Julian Alps. During our yoga holidays he takes us to secret spots where we experience the best viewpoints in Bohinj valley, meadows, gorges (canyons), waterfalls and peaks and enjoy traditional mountain food, while he informs us about traditions, history and sometimes also mythology.
Triglav Restaurant Manager
Since Damir is also a sommelier, you can be sure that you get a suitable wine with your selected dish, as his wine cellar boasts over 130 wine labels of recognised local and foreign wine producers. His understanding of wines is fascinating, his nose, eyes and taste buds can uncover even the innermost secrets that winegrowers don’t want to reveal. Damir gladly passes on his knowledge to guests and turns them into friends and attentive tasters with his enthusiasm and professionalism. Our breakfasts and some lunches and dinners are enlightened by him.
Our hikes in the heart of the Triglav National Park are designed for a duration of 2 to 4 hours, with short options, enabling walkers of all levels to explore new horizons and enjoy spectacular views of Slovenia.
We visit an Eco farm with cheese tasting, go for a traditional shepherds’ lunch on the meadow Vogar, we have Slovenian dinner at a local restaurant and also local spirits and herbal teas are on the menu.
If the conditions allow, we go for an evening torch walk around the hill Vrtovin, listening to some great local legends and stories.
On a full day tour to the Soca Valley, with the most beautiful Slovene river Soca, we have the chance to swim in the crystal clear emerald green waters. Some other highlights are the mysterious Kozjak waterfall captured in a stony chamber, Napoleon bridge in Kobarid, lunch in Bovec and amazing views all day long.

From Our Clients
Come back more relaxed, mindful and connected to myself
The week of yoga retreat in Fuerteventura was fantastic. Many thanks to Milica for the various daily yoga and meditation classes, for the exploration of the island (including some remote and unforgettable corners), for surrounding us of so many nice people and taking care of us all the time!
When I departed, I had some doubts mostly due to Covid-related uncertainties, however I am very happy of the decision made to join the yoga retreat and I certainly managed to achieve what I was hoping for before departing: some self-care time in order to come back more relaxed, mindful and connected to myself – on top of new friends! I highly recommend Milica’s yoga and travel plans!
It felt like meeting old friends again
It was one of the best decisions I made in the past year; a yoga retreat in Fuerteventura, that sounds fantastic! It was fantastic, even though I had no experience with yoga, it was not difficult for me to follow the exercises, as Miliza did a great job of explaining and showing everything.
We spent a wonderful week full of little adventures and new experiences. Everyone involved was passionate about what they were doing and it felt like meeting old friends again. The organisation was professional and tailored to the needs of the participants. Thank you for many unforgettable moments!
Let go and feel reconnected to oneself
The retreat in Chiang Mai was an unforgettable week, physically and emotionally intense. Real moments of exchange and sharing around yoga and meditation. This retreat not only rejuvenated me but I felt regenerated as the days went by.
I think the place was particularly well-chosen, Miliza, and the synergy of the group really allowed me to be as relaxed as ever! I also think practicing disciplines like yoga and meditation in connection with nature helps tremendously to let go and feel reconnected to oneself. A gentle well-being!
A pure moment of relaxation
Thank you, Miliza, for all your organization, I spent a very good time, met nice people, learned so many things during these few days, was eating healthy food, visiting nice places. The massage was so marvellous, I recommend to everyone to try it, the herbal hot compress is good for relaxation! The meditation in the middle of nature and with the presence of a monk was one of the highlights, a pure moment of relaxation.
It was a nice retreat, it was so fun, wonderful time spent with this group. Hope to see you again for another retreat.
Intense week with well distributed activities
We had a warm welcome and spent an intense week with well distributed activities. Yoga classes were possible even for beginners particularly as we were in a small group. We had very carefully prepared meals, met wonderful people of different nationalities and this allowed us to build up a nice energy. The outdoor meditation was a great time for a reconnection to our dear mother earth.
The teachers gave us high quality methods and practices.
lot of fun, which I will live on for a long time
“The 6 days were wonderfully organized by Miliza. Excellent morning yoga with a Thai professional, rich, varied and healthy breakfast, joint relaxation sessions, exciting conversations with people who love what they do and realize it with passion. At the top of the list for me is the regular meditation with “our” monk KK, but also how quickly and with what naturalness and openness the small international group of very different people came together. We spent a great week together with a lot of fun, which I will live on for a long time to come… thank you!”
